Ixsir Grande Réserve White 2025
Batroun, Lebanon (75 cL)
The finesse of a great Mediterranean white, where Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay express the diversity of Lebanese terroirs.
Sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Bechouat, Kab Elias and Hadath Baalbek, Grande Réserve White embodies the meeting point between Lebanon’s generous sunshine and the freshness brought by altitude. This blend of Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay reveals a luminous golden hue and an expressive bouquet of white flowers, ripe peach, exotic fruits and citrus notes. On the palate, the wine charms with its balance between roundness and freshness, carried by a generous texture and a persistent liveliness. Ageing in French oak barrels adds a subtle layer of complexity, with delicate woody nuances and a lightly spiced finish reminiscent of white pepper. A cuvée that elegantly showcases Lebanon’s ability to craft distinctive white wines, combining Mediterranean richness with precision.
Founded in 2008 in the Batroun region of northern Lebanon, Ixsir set out to reveal the diversity of one of the world’s oldest wine regions. Rather than focusing on a single area, the estate chose to work with vineyards spread across the country, from the northern mountains to the Bekaa Valley and the South, capturing the full richness of Lebanese terroirs. This approach, combined with a winery architecture recognised for its environmental integration, has quickly established Ixsir as one of the most respected ambassadors of Lebanon’s modern wine renaissance.
